Britain's stiff upper lip way of thinking may be killing alot of people. They believe that visiting the doctor is embarrassing. Everyone is very well aware of cancer symptoms but are reluctant about going to the doctors for varies reasons like being embarrassed of their illness or fearing wasting a doctors time. In a British journal for Cancer it says that the rates for cancer survivors is far lower then other developed countries. The former health Secretary Andrew Lansley promised to achieve the goal of saving 5,000 more people who have Cancer in 2015. I think this is kinda sad because there would be treatment for people who went to the doctor earlier, like how it is in the United states. I also think that it shows that people treat medical problems as not an important matter like how we treat it here in the U.S. This relates to international business because the U.K treats medical treatment as not important as us. It also shows that Cancer research and prevention isn't as big there like how it is here but will probably start growing because of all the cancer related deaths. I think if more places took cancer more seriously then the Cancer research will grow into a larger corporation and will grow so more people all over the world will be more aware about it.
